NEDS

Anoche fui a ver NEDS. A un cine pequeñito y de gafapastas en el que no te dejan comer palomitas (?!!).
Cuenta la historia de John McGill, un chaval de Glasgow muy inteligente que por circusntancias de la vida acaba convertido en un NED: non educated delincuent ( delicuente sin educación). Ha ganado la concha de oro a la mejor película y la de plata al mejor actor en el Fesitval de San Sebastián!
Me esperaba mucho más una peli tipo "This is England" y se hace un poco larga (2 horitas), pero la verdad que viéndola con perspectiva puedo decir que me gustó, partes subrealistas incluidas. Aunque aviso: es una peli dura y el final es tan abierto que no tiene ningún sentido...


Yesterday I watched NEDS. In a cute little movie theatre for people with thick rimmed-glasses (lol) in which it isn't allowed to eat popcorn (?!!).
It tell the story of John McGill, a truly smart kid from Glasgow that ends up involved with the NEDS (non educated delicuents).
It has the concha de oro to the best film and the concha de plata to the best actor at San Sebastian's film festival!
I was expecting something similar to "This is England" (it isnt really) and it comes off as a bit long (2 hours), but the truth is that i liked it, subrealistic parts included.
I have to warn you tho: its a very harsh film and the ending it so open that really makes no sense at all....
