advertising

First 2011 entry!! :) todya i heard something that at first pissed me off a lot. But then i gave it a second thought, i talked to you and i realised actually it is true: " people who advertise great things are the ones who can't create great things". Considering i'm studying advertising, i found it really offensive, but that's my own ego speaking. It's the only thing i'm good at: creating expectation, making you want something. I don't know anything about math and physics. I don't understand materials, i have no idea were to start to build up a car, a house or a simple chair. But i do get how you work, what do you need, what do you search for. i know how to make you buy (or want to buy) shit that you will never use, that you don't need, that wont make you happier. That is talent.
That i how i understood that not being able to create great things, doesnt mean that you arent talented.

  1. You are absolutely right! I want to study advertising too, and I happen to also suck at math and physics, but I DO have great ideas and I can be very persuasive. By the way, do you know where can I buy this book? I would love to read it! Thanks, and wish you the best of lucks in your advertising career!
